Admissions

Online Program

The MS in Health Informatics program with a concentration in Health Data Analytics is offered fully online. Courses are offered in a condensed 8-week format, with students taking one course at a time. Content of courses, objectives, evaluation methods, and outcomes are identical to those for the on-campus program. Only the delivery format is different.

The online program is intended to be completed in about 2.5 years.

Admissions standards for the online program are the same as those for the on-campus program. The admissions process, deadlines, and contact information are different. Request additional information for the online program.

On-campus Program

Most courses for the on-campus MS in Health Informatics are taught in the evening on the Fairfax Campus, and some courses are taught online. Although not all coursework for all concentrations can be completed online, the number of courses available online increases every year.

Completion of the on-campus program typically requires 2-2.5 years full-time and 2.5-3 years part-time, depending on course load. Applications are accepted for both fall and spring admissions.

The admissions information below refers to the on-campus program.

You can find information regarding the admissions process, requirements, deadlines, and fees for the on-campus program on the Graduate Admissions for HAP Programs web site. Detailed admissions requirements for each program along with the online application can be found on the University Admissions web site.
