Mason is so close to Washington, DC. Do students have the chance to take advantage of Mason's location?

Yes! Each summer, the department and the Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics (CHPRE) host the Washington Health Policy Institute. Held at Mason's Arlington Campus during the first week of June, the institute gives attendees the chance to spend their days delving into the policy-making process. The week culminates with a day spent on Capitol Hill speaking with legislatures and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how Congress works to shape our health care system. Masters students can enroll in one of two graduate-level classes offered during the institute.
